Jesuit's arrival at Jashpur Dirstrict
Fr. De Gryse, SJ, Entered Jashpur on 2nd April 1905
from Kurdeg(Jharkhand) for the first time to meet Bhadur Bishun Prasad Sighdev,
King of Jashpur estate at Jashpur Nagar in order to obtain permission to establish a Mission in the state.
Fr. P.Van der Linden, SJ “The Knight of Khairkona” paid his first visit
to Khairkona on 14th June 1906 from Katkahi Parish(Jharkhand).
Fr. P.Van der Linden, SJ and Fr.Bressers, SJ, offered Holy Mass for the first time (historical 0 at Khairkona on 29th Nov1906.
His Grace Meuleman, SJ, “The great Hero of the Jesuit mission,” Frs Bressers, SJ, De Gryse, SJ and Bretaudeau, SJ arrived at a mutual agreement with Mr. Laurie, ICS, Political agent and the king at Jashpur Nagar on 2nd Feb 1907.
